Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Bruno Bich is BIC Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He resumed his functions of Chief Executive Officer in June 2016, after serving as Chairman of the Board from 2006 to 2016.
In 1993, Bruno was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BIC Group, succeeding the Company founder, his father Marcel Bich. Prior to his nomination as BIC Group Chairman, Bruno served for nine years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BIC Corporation, the Company's North American subsidiary.
Rising through the ranks in the U.S. business, he held several key corporate positions including Vice President of Sales and Marketing and National Sales Manager.
Bruno is French-American. Before joining BIC, he began his career by working for five years in the Corporate Finance Department of the investment banking firm, White Weld & Company. Bruno Bich holds bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Finance from New York University.
Chief Operating Officer
Gonzalve Bich is Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for the BIC Consumer Business, Human Resources and Information Technology since January 2017. He is Executive Vice-President of Société BIC.
Gonzalve joined BIC Asia in 2003, where he developed the regional business for four years. He moved on to serve as Group People Development Director before joining the Shaver Category as Group Shaver Marketing Director.
From 2008 to 2012, he led the Northern European business. In 2012, he was named Deputy General Manager, responsible for Middle East, Africa, Oceania, and Asia Pacific. He was promoted to General Manager, Developing Markets by mid-2013 and took the responsibility for BIC Consumer Business Categories & Latin America operations in spring 2016.
Gonzalve is French-American and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with Honors, from Harvard University in 2001.
Chief Financial Officer
Jim DiPietro is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice-President of Société BIC.
Jim joined BIC in May 1998 as Senior Vice President, Finance, of BIC Corporation and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2002. Prior to joining BIC, Jim was Director of Finance for Bayer’s consumer pharmaceutical business in North America. He began his career as an internal auditor with Chase Manhattan Bank.
Jim is American and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. John’s University and a master’s degree in Finance from Pace University, both in New York.
BIC Foundation & Board Secretary
Marie-Aimée Bich-Dufour is responsible for Sustainable Development and The BIC Corporation Foundation. She is Executive Vice-President of Société BIC and Board Secretary.
In 1995, Marie-Aimée joined BIC as General Counsel and became a member of the Leadership Team. In 2004, she took responsibility for BIC’s Sustainable Development program. Before joining BIC, Marie-Aimée served for 12 years as a lawyer at the Paris Bar Association.
Marie-Aimée is French and holds a master’s degree in Private Law from Paris Panthéon-Assas University and a Professional Lawyer‘s Certificate (CAPA).
Europe, North America and Asia Pacific
Benoit Marotte joined BIC in 2001 as Marketing Manager, Europe for the Shaver Category. He was promoted to Director, Marketing Europe in 2003 before moving to General Manager roles in the UK and France. He became Deputy General Manager, Stationery in 2007 and joined the Leadership Team in 2009 as General Manager, Stationery. Since 2017, he has been responsible for Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining BIC, Benoit worked for 10 years at Nestlé where he held several marketing positions. Benoit started his career at Xerox in sales.
Benoit is French and graduated from ESSEC Business School and Montpelier Business School.
Peter Dalsberg, responsible for the Stationery category, was appointed to his current position and became a member of the Leadership Team in October 2017.
Peter joined, from Amcor, where he was responsible for Global Strategy and Business Development in the Asia Pacific region. Peter previously ran Operations for Amcor’s business in the Americas.
Prior to Amcor, Peter held positions in Operations with British American Tobacco including running the Supply Chain for the Asia Pacific region and leading Western European Operations.
Peter is Danish and received his Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Copenhagen Business School.
François Clément-Grandcourt joined BIC in 2000 as Marketing Product Manager for BIC Shavers. He moved on to BIC Lighters & Shavers in 2004 as Marketing Director Europe-Middle East and Africa, and then served as Country General Manager, BIC Eastern Europe. In 2007, he was appointed as Division Deputy General Manager for BIC Lighters. He joined the Leadership Team in 2016 and is responsible for Lighters.
Before joining BIC, François held positions in Coca-Cola and Danone.
François is French-Swiss and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD.
Thomas Brette joined BIC in 1999 as Cost Controller in Greece, then Finance Manager for the Shaver Category based in New York. He was appointed Finance Director for BIC Sport in 2005 and Business Unit Manager, BIC Stationery in 2007. In 2009, Thomas rejoined the Shaver category as Marketing Director and was appointed Deputy General Manager, Shavers in 2013. He joined the Leadership team in 2015 and is responsible for Shavers.
Before joining BIC, Thomas held positions in the French Bank Credit Lyonnais.
Thomas is French and holds a Master’s level Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Institut National des Techniques Economiques et Comptables – Paris, France.
Chris Mills joined BIC in 1996 as Trade Planning Manager in Canada where, in 1997, he also assumed Marketing Manager responsibilities. In 1999, he was promoted to Lighter Marketing Director for the U.S. and in 2000 was promoted to Group Lighter Marketing Director. In 2003, Chris was appointed Marketing and Sales Director for Sheaffer Pen, then in 2006 promoted to General Manager, BIC Australia and New Zealand. He has been responsible for North America and a member of the Leadership Team since 2008.
Prior to joining BIC, Chris held several key sales and marketing roles in Canada with Bayer Consumer Healthcare.
Chris is Canadian-American and studied business at Mount Allison University.
Ricardo Ibarra has been responsible for Latin America and a member of the Leadership team since 2016.
Before joining BIC, Ricardo worked for 16 years at Mattel, most recently serving as Senior Vice President-Commercial for Mega Blocks. He also held several strategic roles at the company for different Latin American countries. Ricardo began his career at Unilever Mexico (1989–1999) where his last position was Regional Innovation Center Marketing Manager for Latin America.
Ricardo is Mexican and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Master of Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
PETER VAN DEN BROECK
Middle East – Africa – India
Peter Van den Broeck has been responsible for the Middle East – Africa – India regions and a member of the Leadership Team since 2016.
Peter joined BIC Belgium in 1999 as Key Account Manager. In 2004, he was appointed Europe Business Account Manager and then Europe – MEA Business Account Director in 2006. He was promoted to General Manager BIC Benelux and Nordic in 2007 and then became General Manager Middle East and Africa in 2009.
Prior to BIC, Peter held different sales positions at IDC, Acco-Rexel Benelux and Hetzel.
Peter is Belgian and graduated from AP Hogeschool in Antwerp.
Strategy and Business Development
Tim Perman is responsible for Strategy and Business Development. He was appointed to this role and became a member of the Leadership team in July 2017.
Tim joined BIC in July 2017. His main responsibilities are Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Business Development – Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to BIC, Tim held different leadership positions in Investment Banking Divisions of Citigroup and West LB in the UK and Germany, as well as PepsiCo in Central America. After his MBA he joined Bain & Company in Brazil as a Management Consultant. In 2010 Tim joined LG Electronics as a Strategy and Go-To-Market Director, again based in Brazil, and has spent the last six years working for Coca-Cola as Global Strategic Planning Director.
Tim is British and have completed his degree in Law and German at Bristol University in England and his MBA with Insead in Paris and Singapore.
Ed Dougherty is Strategic Advisor. He joined BIC in 1999 as Vice President Marketing. In 2000 he took responsibility for the Shaver Category and joined the Leadership Team. In 2007, he was promoted to Category President for Stationery and Shaver categories.
Prior to joining BIC, he held positions with Reckitt Benckiser, Wyeth and Tetley.
Ed is American and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Fordham University in New York, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairfield University, located in Fairfield, Connecticut (USA).
Group General Counsel
Edouard Maruani joined BIC in 2014 as Deputy Group General Counsel in charge of Developing Markets. He became Group General Counsel and joined the Leadership Team in 2016.
Prior to joining BIC, Edouard worked in investment banking and held managerial legal positions in several multinational companies operating in the consumer electronics, food, chemical and paper industries. Edouard was posted in Asia for six years where he was head of legal for Asia-Pacific at Danone.
Edouard is French and holds master’s degrees in law, accounting, finance and business administration from HEC, ESCP Europe Business Schools and Paris Panthéon-Assas University.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Alison James, Chief Human Resources Officer, joined BIC and the Leadership Team in 2014.
Prior to BIC, Alison was Head of Human Resources for Life Technologies in San Diego and held various positions in Human Resources for several other companies, including Encore Capital Group and Gateway. She began her career at Mars Inc. where she held several different positions.
Alison is American and British, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Studies and French from the University of Bradford (GB).
Chief Information Officer
Laurent Serano, Chief Information Officer, joined BIC and the Leadership Team in in 2016.
Prior to BIC, Laurent held Chief Information Officer positions for Bureau Veritas (2008 – 2016) and Cegelec (2002 –2008). He was also a partner at Ernst & Young Canada, and held a senior information technology role at Price Waterhouse in the U.S.
Laurent is French and holds an Engineering Diploma from Institut Supérieur d’Électronique de Paris (ISEP).

Pierre Vareille served as Chief Executive Officer of Constellium from 2012 to 2016.
He started his career in 1982 with Vallourec, holding various positions in manufacturing, financial control, sales and strategy. After being held various various general management positions at GFI Aerospace, Faurecia and Péchiney, he was, from 2004 to 2008, Chief Executive of the English automotive equipment manufacturer Wagon PLC. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Chairman and CEO of FCI.
Pierre Vareille has been an Independent Director since 2009 and has been Vice-President and Lead Director since 2016. He is a member of the Audit Committee. His mandate will expire in 2018.

John Glen is Scottish and serves as Chief Executive Officer of Buccleuch Group, the holding company of a family-owned group that operates in industry and agro-businesses.
He previously held various positions at Unilever and was Finance Director at Air Liquide Group from 2000 until June 2008. He was also Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group for four years.
John Glen has been an Independent Director since 2008 and chairs the Audit Committee. His mandate will expire in 2018.

Elizabeth Bastoni is an American citizen who lived and worked for over 18 years in France, holding various executive positions within large international companies.
She serves as President of Choukette Inc. From 2005 to 2010, she was Head of Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Ga. (USA). From 2011 to 2012, she was Executive Vice-President, Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer for the Carlson Group.
Elizabeth Bastoni has been an Independent Director since 2013 and chairs the Compensation and Nomination Committee. Her mandate will expire in 2019.
François Bich is French and joined BIC in 1969. He has been General Manager for the BIC Lighter business from its creation in 1973 until 2016, allowing BIC to become the undisputed worldwide leader of this category.
François Bich has been a Director since 1977 and Executive Vice-President of Société BIC since 1988. His mandate expires in 2017.

Since November 2014, Candace Matthews has been Region President, Americas, Amway. She was recruited by Alticor, the parent company of Amway, in December of 2007, as Chief Marketing Officer.
Prior to joining Amway, she was Executive President from 2001 to 2007 of Soft Sheen-Carson (L'Oréal Group). Before that, she held different positions in Marketing at General Mills, Procter & Gamble, Bausch & Lomb and in Management at Novartis and The Coca-Cola Company, in the United States.
Candace Matthews has a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania (U.S.A.) and an MBA in Marketing from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Palo Alto, California (U.S.A.).
Candace Matthews was appointed Independent Director in 2017. She is a member of the Compensation and Nomination Committee. Her mandate will expire in 2020.
Marie-Pauline Chandon-Moët is French and was European Real Estate Projects Manager for BIC Group until December 31, 2010. Before this, when she joined BIC in 1991, she held the positions of Sales Administration Assistant, Sales Administration Manager (France then Europe), as well as Supply Chain Manager for Europe.
Marie-Pauline Chandon-Moët has been a Director of the Board since 2003. Her mandate will expire in 2017.
Mario Guevara is Mexican-American and served as BIC Chief Executive Officer between 2006 and 2016.
He began his career at the company in 1992 as Finance Controller and then Manager of BIC Mexico before becoming the Manager for South America in 1998. He was General Manager of BIC operations in North, Central and South America from 2001 to 2004 and then became BIC Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer in 2004.
Mario Guevara has been a Director since May 2001. His mandate will expire in 2019.

Marie-Henriette Poinsot was Director of Strategic Planning and a member of the Strategic Committee of the Options Group from 2006 to 2013.
She previously worked for nine years within BIC Group where she held different positions, including Deputy Administrative Director of Société BIC.

Édouard Bich is French and is the permanent representative and Managing Director of SOCIÉTÉ M.B.D. (Marcel Bich Descendants). Before this, he spent eight years in the Finance Department of Procter & Gamble.
Société M.B.D. has been a Director since 2006. Édouard Bich is a member of the Audit Committee since then. Its mandate will expire in 2018.
